Forget the BBB - complain to the Nebraska Attorney Generals office!

my husband ordered a gift box for ourselves on sale. this included a few steaks, some porkchops, and potatoes, as well as a cutting board and cutlery set.

when we got the box in the mail, i couldn't help but laugh - the servings of meat were tiny and looked like someone took some mcdonald's hamburger patties and stuffed them into some plastic wrap. seriously hysterical.

then we noticed that the cutlery set was missing, although our order sheet indicated that we were supposed to receive one in our package, i.e. there was no indication that perhaps a second shipment was on its way.

i tried calling customer service and sat on hold, in total, for probably nearly three hours. seriously, dialed the customer service number and left my phone on speaker while at my job working.

nobody ever answered.

so, i sent an email to their customer service asking about the cutlery set and demanding they either send us a refund for the cost of the set or just send the dang set.

i got an email from their customer service department fairly quickly (probably because I threatened to send a consumer complaint to the Nebraska Attorney General's office) saying that they apologized for the mistake, but offered to send us a $20 gift card instead of the cutlery set. i wrote back and said, NO, we paid for the cutlery set, we want the cutlery set. or a refund. that's all we will accept.

have not heard back yet, but i am not optimistic.

The only way to fight scammers like this is to file a complaint at the State of Nebraska's Attorney General site. You can file a Consumer Complaint, reporting shady business practices. Nothing will be done against these shady businesses unless you go to the place that gives them their business licenses - in this case, the State of Nebraska.

These people have been scamming and stealing money for years. Its a shame.

Received the Shepherds pie as part of a Christmas gift from friends. It is horrible. Mushy mashed potatoes with minimal chop meat, thick gloppy gravy and a few small peas and carrots. I feel terrible that our friends spent money they can ill afford on something fit only for the garbage disposal, which is where it went. Also received beef lasagna, beef stew, beef bourginon, and chicken piccata.i dont imagine the other meals will be any better. I note a complaint in February of 19 saying much the same thing with a response that it will be looked into. Yet another bad review in September of 19, and now mine in December of 19, all demonstrating that Omaha Steaks could care less.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE; DON'T BOTHER

I placed two orders on December 10, 2019 and never arrived. When I called they said they were having problems with Fed Ex. Representative assured me the replacement would be on my door December 23, 2019; as this was for filet mignon and lobster tails. Upon tracking my shipment it indicates it will arrive December 26th!!! Too late!!! Called and was on phone and hold for over an hour! Customer service rep I got did not care; said her supervisor told her to credit my account. Yes, credit my account but this does not help me for Christmas Eve! Thanks for nothing. I will never, ever order again or recommend them to anyone. What a huge disappointment; as if I need this added stress at Christmas.

This company is the biggest scam EVER!!! Their food does not taste good at all!!! Please save your hard earned money and do not waste it on this awful company!!! I can walk to my local Omaha Steak store and I feel that it is only average steaks and chicken, and the grouper was awful. I keep thinking that it is convenient to keep a few steaks and burger in the freezer for any last minute diners that might drop by. But the price per pound is over $10.00 and most of that is burgers or apple tartlets. If I wanted to spend $10.00 per pound on hamburgers, I'll go to the local butcher and buy them not frozen. Also, it might be free shipping that attracts you, but I should get free burgers for picking up my own order.

Had a "call back" due to high volume, ( Christmas time, I get that), but the person who called had a heavy "India" accent, kept calling me "Mr. Scott", (Not my last name), tried the "up-sell" till I shut him down, and by the time the order was done I was ready to hang up and just go online. Happy with the gifts/product but if this is the best they can offer for "customer service" on the phone, I will NEVER call again. ordered on 12/14/2019, $200.00 order.

Order a gift pkg and one of the items (Country fried steaks) horrible !! Send it as a gift and they want to give me a credit just for the fried steaks . I asked them to make it right had to argue with a supervisor I have points I have a cumulated free gift card for spending and you can only use one or the other I’m done anyway you can use it is if you spend more money terrible service terrible product moving on to another service who cares

Shipped my mother a package with lobster Tails. They shipped on Friday and shipment got there on Tuesday. Everything was warm and ruined. Waited on the phone for customer service for an hour and gave up. These guys suck and we will never use them again.

I don't know what to tell you. Good luck with gift certificates. I have had no luck with redeeming them.

I have a gift certificate that I can not redeem. I enter the number on the certificate, it presents a series of pictures that I should match. I don't get it this was a gift certificate that my husband received. If I wanted to be on Jeopardy I would have auditioned. This is not the first time we have received a gift card that we could not redeem , What is going on? my mother fell for the commercials great xmas gift and sent me a package of Omaha steaks.everything in it was awful I can get a better cut rite down the road at a gas station.its to bad I had always heard about them and thought it was going to be the best id ever had.Wrong!I butcher my own meat and don't brag as much as they do I cant believe they are still in business.

One order addressed to Robert May at 6372 San Lazaro Ct Ste 121, Orlando Fl tel407-666-****, was delivered with the ice melted unsuited for consomtion. Several call were made to replace this oreder, which was confirm serveral time. BUT NO REPLACEMENT ARRIVED, WERE TOLD 3 DECEMBER DELIVERY. the samefor my order steaks boxes were damaged, many calls, many promises, no relplacement. my customer ID OSI-02806****. As always, if you used a credit card and not made the mistake of using a debit card, the solution is to dispute the charge(s) with your card issuer. Buying meat mailorder or on the internet comes with many hazards. Best to buy locally, etc.
